For our guests from around the world who ask: “What can I do?”, the Pack For A Purpose global initiative gives them a way to get involved that makes a real, positive difference in the local communities that MORE Family Collection, with our More Community Foundation (MCF), is helping to build a better future for.

As a partner of Pack For A Purpose, the initiative helps us connect our guests with the child education community projects that each of our lodges and hotels support. Those guests who would like to make a contribution are then able to simply use a little space in their luggage to bring over a few supplies greatly needed by these projects.

Through Pack For A Purpose, guests are able to meet the real needs of rural schools and directly contribute to solving the challenges they face. Because this takes place in communities where our programmes run, we are able to jointly contribute to ensure the long-term benefit to the children’s education,” says Minenhle Moyo, MCF Community Liaison Manager.

It’s as easy as 1,2,3!

1. Visit packforapurpose.org and search for the MORE Family Collection Lodge or Hotel* you will be visiting

2. Take a look at the projects it supports and their wish list of supplies

3. Pack the items you can contribute and bring them along in your suitcase

You would be surprised at how even just a small gesture and those of many others can add up to make a huge difference! Over the course of last year, a record 250kg of supplies was donated by our guests to our projects through Pack For A Purpose. Thank you to all of you who make room for us in your luggage – and in your hearts!

Minenhle says: “We have regular check-ins of guests who participate in Pack For A Purpose. They always bring something along with them to give to the needs of our projects and no matter how small, the big smiles from the children and teachers show how much this means to them.” But more often than not, our guests’ contributions exceed all expectations:

Injongo Educare had sufficient stationary, first-aid supplies, and personal hygiene products throughout the year!”

Having the teachers and children not worry about basic supplies of learning materials means they can all focus in and out of the classroom.

Receiving playing equipment from guests for our kids to enjoy outdoor educational activities has made teaching and learning fun. We are so appreciative!

For the children, parents and teachers in our communities, knowing that the children’s educational needs are taken care of is a huge weight of their shoulders that allows them to work together towards securing a better life with optimism.
