Monwana Game Lodge joins the MORE Family Collection family, positioned alongside Lion Sands Ivory Lodge as a premium luxury safari property - offering the opportunity for extended Greater Kruger National Park safari adventures.

Sharing an unfenced border with Greater Kruger National Park, Thornybush Nature Reserve has an abundance of non-migratory species, including the Big 5, that guarantees exceptional safari experiences all year round.Game drives and bush walks with experienced guides and trackers on this private 14,000-hectare reserve, are unhurried and uncrowded.

This intimate lodge hosts a maximum of 16 guests promising a customised private safari experience. There is an active waterhole and a dry riverbed in front of the lodge that sees the passage of a diversity of wildlife. There are six suites, two of which cater for families, as well as the two-bedroom Monwana Residence which has its own private safari vehicle and field guide team, as well as a residence butler and chef.

Each of the suites have their own private plunge pool and spacious deck from which to observe the wildlife. The main lodge has a spacious lounge and deck, lap pool, spa, gym, and even a wine cellar for wine tasting experiences.

The food ethos is designed around an authentic and informal bistro ambience, with fresh, healthy, sustainably and ethically sourced produce. Bush dinners, bush breakfasts, picnics, surprise bush stops, and riverbed dining under the stars are always part of our guest experience.
