A Taste of Home in the Wild

Our dedicated and accredited kosher kitchen is the heart of our kosher dining experience. Every ingredient is sourced from Beth-Din-approved suppliers, ensuring that all food and refreshments – from the welcome drinks when you arrive to the snacks served on game drives – are kosher and delight your taste buds.

Here’s how we ensure you enjoy the magic of an African safari while maintaining the laws of kashrut:

A private mashgiach arrives at the lodge a day before you, to prepare our kitchen with the same care you’d expect in your own home. The mashgiach will kasher the kitchen and stay on site to supervise the in-house kosher chef during all meal preparations and services.

Meal service and kitchen cleaning are carried out following kosher principles and include the usage of crockery and cutlery, dedicated solely to kosher catering. If guests prefer, good-quality, single-use sets are available.

Stainless steel pots and pans are boiled and torched clean between each meal. If guests prefer, new sets, kept in their packaging, are available.

In addition, a private kosher chef can be brought in for the duration of the guests’ stay to prepare all meals, under supervision by the mashgiach.
